How To Replace Elevator Door Slider
Door slider is fixed at the bottom of the elevator door to prevent the elevator door from derailing. Usually, it is comprised of a steel plate and a slider base. Generally ,there are 4pcs door sliders on passenger elevator and 8pcs on freight elevator.
If it is fallen off or damaged, it will cause the elevator door to shake or can’t close even the light curtain to malfunction, and need to be replaced immediately.
When replacing the door slider, the relevant safety regulations must be observed:
- Put a safety fence to inform that this elevator is under maintenance.
- Make the elevator stop at the bottom floor. One person on the car top uses the inspection speed tool to rise the elevator up 0.6M. The other one opens the bottom hall door and uses the professional tools to clamp the door leaf on the sill to ensure the hall door in opening condition.
- Remove the old door slider, and clean up the sill ,then check whether the sill is installed smoothly and both ends are bent / sunk or not. Also please be sure the door leaf is parallel to the sill.
- Install the new door slider. (The depth embedded into the groove must be ≥10mm)
- Debug the elevator. You need to open/close the car door manually. Checking everything is normal, please resume it running.
