Hitachi E10 Escalator Control System Troubleshooting

E10 escalator control system faults:

E10 control system fault types are categorized into safety switch faults and rationality faults.

  • Safety switch failure is an escalator stop caused by the operation of each safety monitoring switch installed on the escalator truss.
  • Rationality failure is the internal parts of the control cabinet monitoring and escalator performance testing, once an abnormality is detected, the escalator will stop safely.

How to read out the fault code?

  1. Read the fault code by the comb plate board LED

The control unit device detects critical components with rational faults, which can be viewed through the optional skirt LED. In the case of TESM-EXT controls, the safety switching status can be read via the extended input, and the corresponding fault code can be visualized.

2. Read the faulty code by GHP-2 Handheld Programming Server

2.1 GHP-2 can read the history fault code and fault time, the specific steps are as follows:
1)Connectting the GHP2 communication plug to the communication interface (RS232) of #PC on T10-CMPU, and the power interface is connected to the MLC socket (3P) of #CON2 on the control cabinet.

2)GHP2 power on, by entering the password to enter the eescalator species selection menu; (such as no secret, directly jump to the third point)

3) Select E10 in the escalator type selection menu (representing the escalator E10 control system) and enter the function menu.
4)Select “FeRAM fault record” in the first-level menu, and press enter to enter the second-level menu.
5)Select “Fault Record” in the secondary menu by (or ) key, press enter to enter.

6) After entering the screen prompts “enter the fault record number”, can be read in the digital range of 1 to 2048 to the latest up to nearly 2048 sent to the fault code and the time of occurrence of the fault


2.2 Read the fault status record through GHP2, the specific steps are as follows:
1)
Repeat the above steps 1) to 4):
2) In the secondary menu, select “Fault Record” by ↑ (or ↓) key, press enter to enter.
3) In the entry screen prompts “enter the fault record number“, you can query 1 to 96 faults that have occurred and faults when the operating record
4) In the query screen, (or ) can be viewed: 1,Fault Input State 2, Fault Output State 3, Fault Speed Of the Host Machine, Left & Right Handrail, escalator status.
