What are the tracks on an escalator?
The escalator track is built into the truss to guide the step chain, which continuously pulls the steps from the bottom platform and back to the top. Actually there are two tracks installed on the escalator:
One for the front step rollers and the other one for the back step roller. It is a closed endless loop system.
The escalator track system includes all the guide rails of the main and auxiliary rollers, the return rails, and other corresponding supports, etc. They are divided into the upper and down guide cure rails and intermediate linear guide rail. Both the ends of the upper and down guide cure are equipped with steering wall structure to make the escalator steps and step chain convey.
The design of the escalator track system is an important part. It makes the escalator steps move according to a certain rule to prevent the steps from deviating, and bear the load transmitted by the main and the auxiliary step rollers. Their working surface is smooth, flat and wear-resistant so that passengers will feel safe and stable while riding on the escalator.
