Elevator Inspection Box is an important device for mechanics to maintain and repair the elevator. Usually, there are three inspection boxes installed on the elevator.

1.Machine room inspection box installed in the control cabinet

2.Car top inspection box

3.Pit inspection box

Most inspection boxes are including the follow switch buttons:

1. Red emergency stop button.
2. “Up”& “Down” running button.
3. “NS”(no-stop) button
4. Rotaryswitch. It is used for conversion between normal and inspection state. When turn the switch to “inspection”, the elevator will run at a safe speed.

Nowadays, most elevators have these switches been located on the elevator control cabinet.
